Following recent announcements from the Scottish Government and Scottish Golf, we are pleased to share the following new changes to the COVID-19 guidance.
From Friday 12 March:
- Golf courses with a designated COVID Officer can permit organised golf for members who live within the local authority area. Play can take place in four-balls with no restrictions on the number of households.
- Golf courses without a designated COVID Officer, or where members are crossing a local authority boundary to play, can remain open for play with a maximum of four players from two households.
As our house convenor Stuart is our COVID officer, we are now able to transition to 3 & 4-balls. While we transition to a new tee sheet to accommodate this, we understand that some of you will wish to increase your group sizes that are already booked.
If you wish to amend your bookings to make them into a 3-ball or 4-ball, please email Kevin Blyth at match@kirkcaldygolfclub.co.uk with your current booking details and what you wish to change it to. Please ensure to include the names of anyone you wish to add to your group.
It is important that you delete any bookings that you no longer require, this will allow more members to make use of available tee times.
This also now means that we will be able to enjoy the first event of the season, the Captain V Vice-Captain. Further details about this event will be made available in Friday’s Newsletter.
We thank you for continuing to adhere to the ever-changing guidelines but this is a great step forward to a return to normality.
